Subject: SaiyukiMyu DVD Time: 4:28 am. Mood: busy.

The SaiyukiMyu: Go to the West would be so awesome if not for two things. 1) The songs are incredibly boring. All of them are ballads, with the exception of the crack song of Kanzeon Bosatsu's, and... the pace of the songs never picks up. (o_ _)o The main characters (i.e. Sanzo-ikko, Kanzeon Bosatsu, and Kougaiji) sing pretty well, though the extras need a bit of work. :X 2) The fight scenes are an awkward mix of dancing-fighting. Pick one, guys. Have a kick ass fight scene and then a cool looking twirly dance later. Don't interrupt a cool fighting move to spin around like a ballerina. ... Still, Burimyu didn't have a perfect start either. I have hopes for SaiyukiMyu! :D Character interaction has me like melting where I sit with how awesome it's handled. 8D Goddamn, Gojyo and Goku are my heroes in this myu... So so so spot on with their characters. Hakkai is a slightly different interpretation from the anime, definitely, and closer to the manga, but still a little different. He seems a bit more genuine in his smiles, but more like he is enjoying the superficial amusements of life while being an broken, crazy sonofa underneath. I like it. ^^ Sanzo is really well played, but I suppose I notice him less because of his personality? Dunno. And wehkwfjnkvjdns the costumes... *___* <3 So. Freaking. Awesome. Oh my god, Gojyo's hair. ksjfndkjs <3 Alright, back to homework. ^^; ~Nagi

...Which really isn't actually any different than it was previously. XD; Why, oh why does the pastry shop worker have to be so cute? She's so sweet and is really thrilled that I'm from San Francisco/America and keep coming there... so I keep going there and buying really damn good cakes and things... I just know that every time I walk past, I'm going to want to stop and buy something so I can keep making her so happy... (o_ _)o In other news, my friend imma_holiday and I made it to the finals in a karaoke contest being run by our school! :D Our act was one of the 8 chosen out of the 40 initial applicants! :D <3 Gonna give the final performance on the 20th on June. ^_^v *goes back to essay-writing and fic-plotting* ~Nagi

Ow, fuck... Just tripped and fell down my dorm's spiral staircase. Owwww... Please, no one follow my example. Bruised ankle and ass... Not sure how my ankle will fair in the morning, but I'm icing it now. Gah... This hurts... o.x;; First time falling down these stairs, though, and considering that I go up and down them every day (all 4 flights, usually, since the shower is on the 4th floor), I'm rather impressed that I haven't had more frequent accidents of this nature. At least I have a bandage wrap, so if my ankle still hurts in the morning, I have something to help me get to classes. :D; ~Nagi

Subject: Oh, EWW!!! Time: 6:22 am. Mood: pissed off.

Urg... Had a perspective student contact me about English tutoring yesterday and set up a meeting time for today at 9:00pm in Ueno to say hi and talk about what my teaching style is like/prices/etc. Or well, that's what I thought it was going to be. Turns out the guy was apparently attempting to use the teach-me-English pick up method. Spent a long time last night trying to hammer out the details of the meeting place and time. He asked if we could meet at my house and I was like, "Um, no. How about a cafe?" so he said, "How about an izakaya in Ueno?" and I was all, "Well, alrighty. But I can only talk for an hour or so." So I get to Ueno 4 minutes late (I took the train, though I can walk there from my place. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to keep the guy waiting and be rude.) to find that he hadn't arrived yet. So I wait around for a bit when I get a text asking if we could meet and talk at a hotel. =_=; Giving the guy the benefit of the doubt, just in case this was some language/culture barrier that I wasn't quite getting, I ask if he means the lobby of a hotel, which I supposed was okay. He then texted back saying a hotel room because it's quieter. Uh-huh. Yeah. No. =_=;; So I politely, though quite directly, told him that was impossible and that I'm sorry for the abruptness, but I had things to do and was going to go home. Ewwwww.... That was a really creepy experience... X____X sdjncksjdnck... Still weirded-out/pissed-off. I left the Waseda area and cut hanging out time short to be asked to a hotel by a creepy guy pretending to want to learn English. That jerk cost me money on train fair to meet him. Asshole. ~Nagi

So... my school just went on lock-down because that new Mexico-America flu has been detected in Japan, apparently. o.o; Umm, Golden Week a day early for us, I guess? And after I spent so much time on my presentation for class tomorrow. ;_; Teach me to go all out on my Japanese class presentations again. I'm just hoping that other things aren't getting closed down... And by "other things"... I mean karaoke and yakiniku dens... ^^;;; Oh, priorities. Where have you gone? EDIT: Oh, okay. Apparently the email says that the campus will be closed if the warning level for the flu reaches 4? But it's not closed now... Even though my roommate just said that Japan says it's on warning level 4? ... Alrighty, then. False alarm. ^^;; Still school tomorrow. Still a presentation to give. In other news, Nagayan has been having a lot of fun with the gachapon machines. XD <3 I hope he eventually gets Hitsugaya. And I giggled at the recitation of Renji's lines from Mou Hitotsu no Chijou. Dancing, swimming mice musical. My favourite characters were the drunk mouse (4th cast Kaidoh), the mouse that wanted to be a fish (Shitenhouji musical someone), and busybody mouse (Airmyu Puck). Daiki= most srs mouse evar. Naru= my hero. Ferret-badguy-man= coolest singing voice ever. I'd watch it again. XD Maybe it'll come to DVD before I go home and someone won't want it and sell it back to K-Books? 8D Hey, I can dream. ~Nagi
